IGF-1 LR3 is a synthetic elongated analogue of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), engineered with an N-terminal arginine-based extension that reduces IGF-binding protein (IGFBP) affinity and extends plasma half-life relative to endogenous IGF-1. It has been investigated for its interactions with IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) and insulin receptor (IR) signaling pathways, and observed effects on PI3K/Akt/mTOR cascade activity, myoblast proliferation mechanisms, and adipocyte lipid metabolism regulation in experimental models.
