Description

KPV is a C-terminal tripeptide derivative of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) investigated for its interactions with melanocortin receptor signaling pathways, particularly MC1R and MC3R activity. It has been studied for its observed effects on inflammatory cytokine expression, reactive oxygen species (ROS) modulation, and keratinocyte regulatory mechanisms in dermal tissue models. Research has also examined its interactions with intestinal epithelial cell signaling and mucosal inflammatory pathway modulation in gastrointestinal experimental models.
